About Episode On October 18th, millions of Americans in all 50 states will peacefully and patriotically take to the streets to protest the fascist Trump regime. The protests, aptly titled, “NO KINGS” are meant to show the government that we, the people, are the ones in charge. We hold all the power, and they answer only to us. There are over 2,600 protests currently planned, each with a safety team and strategies to diffuse violent agitators. Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible, the progressive organization in charge of the planned protests, joins The Siren for a special livestream to support the protests and encourage Americans to take their grievances to the streets this October 18th, peacefully. Ezra is joined by Jo Carducci, co-founder of The Siren and host of this livestream, and by Jess Craven, Rep. Maxwell Frost, Harry Dunn, Joel Rubin, Jill Jonassen, Brooklyn Dad Defiant, & Tara Setmayer of The Seneca Project. You can find more information about the planned protests and an event near you by visiting NoKings.org. All of us at The Siren hope to see you on the ground! MORE Podcast Title The Siren Network
Podcast Description The Siren is a creator led media network founded to combat fascism and defend the values of American democracy through the analysis and discussion of current events and calls to action. Through fearless reporting, bold truth-telling, and unapologetic calls to action, we refuse to sit back while our rights are gutted, our voices are silenced, and our future is auctioned off to the highest bidder. Instead, we’re calling out the abuse of power and relentless attacks on our democracy wherever they appear. But it’s not enough to just talk about what’s going on. This moment demands going a step further. The goal of The Siren is not just to analyze the news, but to ignite action. We turn outrage into direction. We organize calls to stop the passing of dangerous legislation. We spotlight the next generation of Democratic leadership. All while mobilizing around the most pressing issues of our time. We don’t both-sides tyranny. We expose it and we fight it. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.MORE Guest Ezra Levin

Podcast Description On Space the Nation, we take our love of science fiction (and fantasy and horror) and smash it together with our professional passions: international relations (as brought to the table by Tufts University professor and Washington Post columnist Dan Drezner) and cultural criticism (as brought to the table by political columnist Ana Marie Cox). It's a highly informed but hilarious conversation that starts with an examination of a particular text (everything from Ursula K. LeGuin to the MCU, Star Trek to Colson Whitehead) and veers into current events, mental health practices and imagined conversations between Ted Cruz and the Predator. For people who like white papers and graphic novels, Chapo Trap House and what Political Science Twitter used to be. Hosted on Acast.
